PURPOSE:To increase the impact resistance of the title melting vessel by forming an inner layer with many two-dimensionally arranged moval thermal stress relaxing elements which are to bonded to an outer layer, and making the inner layer movable with respect to the outer layer. CONSTITUTION:The double-layered melting vessel has the thermal stress relaxing layer 100 consisting of many thermal stress relaxing elements 10 constituting the inner layer to be brought into contact with a substance to be melted and the outer layer 13 holding the inner layer 100. The thermal stress relaxing elements 10 constituting the thermal stress relaxing layer 100 are not bonded to each other, and can be moved on the outer layer 13. The thermal stress relaxing element 10 moves with respect to the outer layer 13 in follow-up to the thermal expansion or contraction, and the thermal stress is relaxed. Since the thermal stress relaxing layer 100 consisting of the elements 10 is brought into direct contact with high-temp. metallic uranium, the layer is made of substances such as Y2O3, ZrO2, and BeO2. |
