Inventions are the anthraquinonic colorant represented by the formula (I): <CHEM> wherein Q<1> and Q<2> are each independently substituted or unsubstituted anthraquinonyl groups, Z<1> and Z<2> are bridge groups, A is an aromatic divalent group, and n is 0 or 1, and the polarizing film which contains at least one colorant of present invention in a hydrophobic resin, which film has excellent durability and moisture resistance.
