PURPOSE:To prevent a transfer medium used from being fed by a transport means when the main body of the subject device moves to a direction opposite to a recording direction by providing a means to prevent reversing in a transport means path which transports the transfer medium in accordance with the progress of recording. CONSTITUTION:When the main body of the subject device moves to an arrow B direction opposite to a recording direction A, a shaft 10 of a travelling roller 8 moves to an arrow b direction in a slot 9 by friction between the travelling roller 8 and recording paper. This movement allows the contact between the travelling roller 8 and a friction roller 12 to be released, and consequently, the rotation of the friction roller 12 becomes impossible. Also the rotation of a winding shaft 23 to which a takeup reel is fitted does not occur. That is, an ink ribbon is not wound by the takeup reel owing to the action by the means to prevent reversing, neither is transmitted the rotation to a direction B opposite to the recording direction A. As a result, a used ink ribbon does not become loose or is not fed by the reversing of the takeup reel. No trouble occurs at the time of recording. |
