PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in potential stability at the time of repeated uses by using a specified disazo pigment for a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer contains one of the disazo pigments represented by formula I in which R1 is H atom, alkyl group, or the like; X is O atom, sulfinyl group, or the like; and each of A1 and A2 is a coupler residue having phenolic OH group and different from each other. For example, the electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by forming a film by vacuum- evaporating method said pigment on a conductive substrate or by dispersing it into a proper binder and applying this dispersion to the substrate, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to have high practicable sensitivity characteristics and stable potential characteristics at the time of repeated uses. |
