PURPOSE:To absorb vibrations, reduce noises and provide a section with excellent flatness by providing a weight as an attenuating damper on the tip of saw blade used for a reciprocating type sawing machine for cutting a pipe. CONSTITUTION:A saw blade 30 is band plate-shaped and formed on one surface with teeth 31. A weight 33 is mounted on the tip of saw blade. The weight 33 is formed of a pair of identical plate pieces 35 sandwiching the saw blade 30 and fixed to each other on both ends by thumbscrews 37 for example to be removably fixed to the saw blade while sandwiching the saw blade 30. The weight 33 forms a vibration attenuating damper to absorb a large deflection of saw blade which will be generated during cutting and reduce substantially vibrations and noises. While vibrations and noises are generated also when a pipe is cut by the use of this saw toothed blade 30, they are far small compared with those when the pipe is cut without the weight 33. |
