发明名称 GLASS BEADS DOSIMETER
摘要 PURPOSE:To execute separation measurement with high sensitivity even under the mixed environment of beta-rays and gamma-rays, by constituting a glass element of a dosimeter, of spherical beads, and sticking them as a single layer to the surface of a reflecting film which has been stuck onto a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting film 2 is stuck to the upper face of a substrate 1 consisting of an inorganic or organic substance, and to the surface of the reflecting film 2, glass beads 3 consisting of silver active phosphate glass are stuck as a single layer through an adhesive agent 4. A part between the beads 3 is covered with a surface light shielding film. When radiant rays are radiated on this dosimeter, an electron and a hole generated in the glass are captured by Ag<+> ions, and become a fluorescent center 5. This fluorescent intensity is proportional to a radiant-ray exposure dose, therefore, by measuring it, a dose can be measured. Also, since the surface area of the glass beads is large, the fluorescent center can capture efficiently beta-rays, and the detection sensitivity is improved.
