<p>PURPOSE:To perform zero point adjustment, by changing over a gas passage containing no carbon dioxide and an extracting carbon dioxide passage to alternatively allow the same to communicate with an infrared analyser. CONSTITUTION:A reaction liquid 2 is added to a liquid specimen 1 to send both of them to a degassing device 4 and the valve of a cylinder 5 is opened to supply the inert gas in the cylinder 5 to the degassing device 4 and an extractor 10 through a four-way joint 6. Subsequently, the liquid specimen is sent to a reactor 9 to oxidize org. carbon in the liquid specimen and the carbon dioxide-containing liquid specimen is allowed to flow in the extractor 10 to extract carbon dioxide with the inert gas. The specimen gas sent from the extractor 10 flows in an infrared analyser 2 through a solenoid valve 11 to be discharged from a discharge port 12a. When a zero point control signal is outputted from a control part 14, the solenoid valve 11 is changed over and the inert gas flows in the infrared analyser 2 from the cylinder 5 and zero point adjustment is performed at this time. Next, when the signal from the control part 14 is cut off, the solenoid valve 11 is changed over to become the original state.</p> |
