PURPOSE:To observe a pseudo stereoscopic image, by image-forming a video passing a first class prism and the video passing a second prism on a screen horizontally with deviation within a distance between human eyes. CONSTITUTION:A beam of light transmitting prisms A and A' are refracted in a direction of R, and are changed to polarized light regulated by an R polarizing plate 1. The beam of light passing prisms B and B' are refracted in a direction of L, and are changed to the polarized light regulated by an L polarizing plate 2. At this time, different directions of polarization in the R polarizing plate and the L polarizing plate are set, and they are conformed with the polarizing directions of the spectacles for the right eye and the left eye of an observer. As a result, duplicated images being deviated in a horizontal direction are projected on the screen, and since the polarizing directions of two images are different with each other, it follows that the right eye and the left eye observe the images at separate positions. In such a way, it is possible to realize the observation of the image easily by using one on-going projector, and also, to obtain a stereoscopic image without having flicker. |
