PURPOSE:To reduce the adhesion of ribbon waste to the side surface of each of recording electrodes, to reduce the generation of a shortcircuit between recording electrodes and to well keep a current supply characteristic, by providing the pattern grooves for the recording electrodes composed of recessed grooves to a head substrate and providing the recording electrodes to said pattern grooves. CONSTITUTION:As the material of a head substrate 2, ceramic having hardness equal to or lower than that of a recording electrode is used and a cyclized rubber type photoresist is applied to the substrate and exposed and developed to form a fine pattern for the recording electrode and a large number of recessed grooves are formed to the substrate at a predetermined pitch by etching to form pattern grooves for the recording electrode. Electroless Cu plating 3 is applied to the pattern grooves and used as a current supply electrode to precipitate Ni-P alloy plating and the plating protruding from the surface of the substrate 2 is polished to be removed up to the surface of the substrate 2 and smoothed to form a large number of the recording electrodes 4. By this method, the adhesive accumulation of ribbon waste between the recording electrodes can be prevented and durability is enhanced and a current supply characteristic is satisfactorily kept. |
