PURPOSE:To reduce electric power while maintaining performance by passing current intermittently to a coil at specified time intervals to drive a step motor. CONSTITUTION:The current flows in the route of an arrow 21 only in the sections 22, 24, 26 which rise high in B and the current is interrupted in the section 23, 25, when such intermittent driving signals as figures A, B are impressed to input terminals 17, 19. However, a rotor 1 is driven and such current as figure C flows to the coil 4. Namely, the current is passed only to the margin parts for withstanding a load torque at the start of the rotor 1 and before and after the passage of the magnetic pole of the rotor 1 in the spacing between both stators 2, 3. The current is cut in the other parts, by which the driving force is effectively acted on the rotor 1. The performance such as operation and output torque of the rotor 1 is hardly degraded even if the current is cut in such a manner. |
