PURPOSE:To set varying action modes smoothly, precisely and speedily by inputting rotational direction signals and rotary angle signals from a rotary encoder to the interrupting means of a microprocessor, counting the number of the signals and setting action modes based on the counted number of pulses. CONSTITUTION:A currently set action mode is displayed on the display 31 of the console panel 30 of a copying machine, and the rotary encoder 35 generates the rotational direction signals and the rotary angle signals, which are inputted to the microprocessor CPU 41. The down counter 44 and up counter 45 of the encoder pulse interrupting processing means 46 of the processor 41 count the number of pulses from the encoder 35, and based on the count value the CPU 41 sets various kinds of action modes. Said modes are set smoothly, precisely and speedily. |
