PURPOSE:To set action modes smoothly, precisely and quickly by setting a desired action mode by the mode setting means of a microprocessor based on signals from a rotary encoder and processing the set action mode by the interrupting means of the processor. CONSTITUTION:Each action mode currently set is displayed on the display part 31 of the console panel 30 of a copying machine, and the rotary encoder 35 generates signals in response to its two rotational directions and angles. The signals from the encoder 35 are supplied to the microprocessor CPU 41 processing the encoder pulse interrupting processing means 46, and a desired action mode is selected through select keys 36a-36e. Signals outputted from different layers A and B of the encoder 35 are inputted to the interrupting terminal of the means 46 of the CPU 41, which then sets its desired action mode smoothly and precisely. |
