<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for promoting the proliferation of human normal B-lymphocyte and available in large quantity at a low cost, by using a K-casein glycomacropeptide originated from K-casein of cow's milk as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains a K-casein glycomacropeptide (a glycopeptide having a molecular weight of about 7,000-8,000, containing >=5% of sialic acid and produced by treating milk casein with a proteinase such as chymosin or pepsin) originated from K-casein of cow's milk as an active component. The agent is effective in selectively proliferating human normal lymphocyte by adding to a culture medium of the lymphocyte, easily producible from the waste liquid generated in the production of rennet casein curd and available in large quantity at a low cost. Accordingly, the agent is extremely effective for the mass culture of human normal B-lymphocyte.</p> |
