PURPOSE:To obtain perovskite-type ceramics powder without containing a large amount of oxygen defects, by thermally decomposing a complex or mixed metallic oxalate, pulverizing the resultant decomposition product and calcining the obtained powder in the air atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A complex or mixed metallic oxalate to provide perovskite-type ceramic powder by thermal decomposing calcining is thermally decomposed, then pulverized and subsequently calcined in the air atmosphere. A complex or mixed metallic oxalate normally synthesized by a wet process can be employed as the complex or mixed metallic oxalate used and may be a substance capable of providing the aimed perovskite-type ceramics powder by calcining. The thermal decomposition is normally carried out at a temperature above the decomposition temperature of the oxalate, but the decomposition temperature varies with the metallic species bonded to oxalic acid. If the decomposition temperature is unknown, it is preferably preexamined by differential thermal analysis, etc. The above-mentioned temperature is normally preferably 50-100 deg.C higher than the decomposition temperature. |
