PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from overheating when a connector for a fan motor has come off, by making engine starting impossible when the connector to connect a relay means for driving a radiator electric fan to a relay control means has come off. CONSTITUTION:An electric fan motor 7 for cooling a radiator is connected to a power source line 13 through a relay contact 6 of a relay means 12 for driving the electric fan motor 7, and the (+) side of an exciting relay coil 5 of the relay means 12 is connected to an ignition switch (IG) power source line 11, and its (-) side to an earth side through a connecting terminal 2b of a connector 2 for a functional check of the electric fan motor 7 and a water temperature switch (BVSV) 3 which are connected in series. When the connector 2 is not in normal connection, the turning on of the ignition switch of a ignition key makes voltage at a point P higher, and then an engine control unit 1 judges the higher voltage to stop the delivering of an ignition signal. |
