PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recording medium on which a black dye having an azo group can be recorded without discoloration, by a method wherein a specific phenol series antioxidant is preliminarily made to exist in the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:By making an ink jet recording medium on which a recording image is formed by using water-color ink contain 3-9-bis [2-[3-(3tertiary butyl 4 hydroxy 5 methylphenly) propionyloxy]-1,1 dimethly]2,4,8,10 tetrcxaspiro [5,5] undecane given by the below chemical formula (A), browning to azo series black ink especially called C.I.Food Black 2 can be effectively prevented. As for consumption of the compound given by the chemical formula (A), it is suitable to take about 5-50wt.%, preferably about 15-30wt.% to the ink jet recording medium. |
