PURPOSE:To relieve the undue thermal stress in a work and to improve a yield in laser working of a sintered body by forming beforehand a heat insulation layer on the surface of the work. CONSTITUTION:Heat insulation layers 14 are formed on front and rear surfaces of a work 12 in a pretreatment stage 10. A laser beam is scanned by a laser working device in a laser working stage 16, whereby the work is worked to a desired shape. A melt is generated in the worked part by the working heat of the laser beam during the laser beam working and high velocity gas is blown thereto to remove the melt. Since the layer 14 is formed on the surface of the work 12, the cooling effect of the high velocity gas is mitigated and the undue thermal stress occuring in the thermal expansion phenomenon by the laser beam and the shrinkage phenomenon by the cooling effect of the high velocity gas is relieved, whereby the generation of crack is prevented. The work 12 subjected to the laser working stage 16 is processed to strip the layer 14 off in the succeeding stage 18 for stripping the heat insulation layer. |
