PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording material capable of printing in sufficient dot density and having durability and heat resistance, by a method wherein an electric current sensitized type ink ribbon is constituted of a base layer consisting of a specific resin and an ink layer the electrical resistance of which satisfies a specified relationship. CONSTITUTION:The ink ribbon 1, 1' is laid on a recording material (recording paper) 2, a stylus (an assembly of needle form electrodes) 3 and a return circuit electrode 4 are brought into contact with the ribbon 1, 1', and an electric current is passed between the stylus 3 and the electrode 4 to transfer an ink of the ribbon 1, 1' onto the recording material 2. The ink ribbon 1, 1' is produced in a two-layer construction comprised of a base layer 11 consisting mainly of a polyvinyl alcohol resin and carbon black and an ink layer 13, or in a three-layer construction comprising a middle layer 12 between the base layer 11 and the ink layer 13, so as to satisfy the relationship RM>RB>RI where RB, RM, RI are electrical resistances of the base layer, the middle layer and the ink layer. |
