<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a rolling operation by providing a sag detecting mean for a rolled stock between mutual rolling stands, disposing a tension correcting mean connecting thereto and performing a tension correction based on the detected sag. CONSTITUTION:The sag detector 12 for the rolled stock is provided between tandem rolling stands 1A, 1B and the tension arithmetic correcting device 11 connected thereto is disposed in the apparatus additionally. The correcting device 11 consists of a tension correction storage device 13 and a tension schedule correcting device 15, outputs an arithmetic correcting value signal tc based on a detected sag signal Sp from the detector 12 and a detected tension signal (t) from the tension detecting and arithmetic unit 2. The tension correction for each one material is performed through the storage device 13, and the tension between the stands 1A, 1B is corrected with high accuracy. In this way, a missroll during the rolling operation is eliminated and the rolling operation is stabilized.</p> |
