PURPOSE:To obviate an increase in noises at the time of recording and erasing by using amorphous oxide layers, as heat resistant protective layers, in parts in contact with a recording layer, of an optical recording member consisting of a mixture composed of compds. which do not solutionize with each other. CONSTITUTION:This recording member consists of base materials 1, the heat resistant protective layers 2, the oxide layers 3, the recording layer 4, etc. The optical, thermal, and mechanical characteristics of the heat resistant protective layers 2 are shared by the protective layers consisting of the mixture composed of the compds. which do not solutionize with each other. The noises at the time of recording, erasing and repeating are thereby shared to the amorphous oxide layers 3 at the boundary faces of the recording film. Namely, the amorphous oxide layers 3 are provided on the heat resistant protective layers 2 consisting of the mixture. SiOx (1<=x<=2), Al2O3 or oxide glass, etc., are used for the oxide layers 3 and the mixture composed of at least two kinds of the compds. which do not solutionize with each other, for example, chalcogen compd. and oxide or the mixture composed of ZnS and SiO2 is used for the heat resistant protective layers 2. |
