PURPOSE: To enhance the accuracy of a gas discharge space structural body and to improve productivity by applying adhesives at prescribed intervals on the surfaces of foil sheets and laminating, pressurizing and adhering these sheets, then expanding the laminate to form a honeycomb core, thereby constituting gas discharge spaces. CONSTITUTION: The blank foil sheet 22 which constitutes the wall thickness (t) of the gas discharge space structural body 21 is so cut that the size in its short direction attains the size T in the thickness direction of the gas discharge space structural body 21. Joining materials 23 are then applied at the prescribed intervals thereon and the cut sheets are laminated, pressurized and joined to form a laminated block 24. This laminated block 24 is provided with fine grooves 27 or fine holes 28 necessary for enclosing of a discharge gas and is expanded in a lamination direction, by which the honeycomb core 26 is formed. Spaces are regularly arranged in a matrix form in the honeycomb core 26. The gas discharge space structural body 21 is thus produced with the high accuracy without variations in the shapes of the discharge spaces and the productivity is improved. |
