PURPOSE:To reduce the size and cost of a device by providing a switch-back mechanism with a stand-by shifting function together. CONSTITUTION:Print paper having an image transferred on its 1st surface is fixed by passing on a heat roll 1 and enters the inversion roll 5 of the switch- back mechanism and when the rear end of the print paper reaches an inversion switching point, it begins to be turned over. The roll 5 and an opposite roll 4 have their axes orthogonal to the paper traveling direction in normal rotation, but a clearance 20a is provided on one side of the bearing part of the roll 4, so when the roll 5 reverses, the shaft 4a of the roll slants by the clearance because of the friction to the print paper to skew the print paper in the opposite direction from a lateral registration plate 14, thereby preventing it from striking on the front surface 14a of the plate. Therefore, the need of a dedicated stand-by shift mechanism is eliminated to the reduce the size and cost. |
