PURPOSE:To obtain fine printing quality, by restraining vibrations inevitably generated by a perforating unit and a cutting unit in a paper-discharging part from being transmitted to a printing part, even when printing speed is increased. CONSTITUTION:Engaging pawls to be loosely fitted to each other with an angular gap of several degrees in the circumferential direction are projected in the axial direction on opposed end parts of a main shaft S1 in a printing part and a main shaft S2 in a paper-discharging part, thereby providing a pair of jaw clutch type couplings K1, K2 to be engaged with each other. The main shafts S1, S2 are coupled to each other through the clearance couplings K1, K2. With this construction, at a speed not higher than a normal printing operation speed or when a starting and stopping operations or a minutely moving operation is repeated, synchronism is not attained, and either one of motors M1, M2 is delayed or advanced relative to the other, whereby the engaging pawls of the couplings K1, K2 contact each other, resulting in that the rotation of one of the couplings is accompanied by the rotation of the other. The phase difference between the two couplings is maintained within several degrees, so that when a normal printing operation is reached, a synchronous operating condition is quickly attained through phase control. |
