PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a copper-clad electric discharge instrument and contrive a reduction in the cost of a discharge printer head member, by uniformly kneading a boron nitride powder with a sublimable organic binder. CONSTITUTION:A boron nitrid powder and a sublimable organic binder are uniformly kneaded with each other. The binder is suitably poly-alpha-methylstyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, polyethyl methacrylate or polybutyl methacrylate. In a member obtained by kneading the powder and the binder with each other, the binder is exposed to the surface, which ensures higher affinity for an adhesive and enables adhesion of a copper foil. The use of the sublimable organic binder ensures dissipation of the binder to the exterior of the system as a gas through complete thermal decomposition, so that deposition of carbon does not occur in the vicinity of an electric discharge instrument, and recording quality is enhanced. |
