PURPOSE:To extremely reduce the manhour for the production of a Japanese language explanation by using a Japanese language dictionary and a syntax dictionary. CONSTITUTION:The Japanese language names corresponding to the label names used in a source program 11 are registered into a Japanese language dictionary 12. The syntax dictionary 100 stores previously the explanation information which explains the syntax of the program 11 using a high-level language. A label name analyzing means 200 extracts a label name out of the program 11 and then the corresponding Japanese language name out of the dictionary 12. The parsing means 300 analyzes the syntax of the program 11 and extracts the corresponding explanation information out of the dictionary 100. A Japanese language manual production means 400 produces a Japanese language manual 4 from the Japanese means 400 produces a Japanese language manual 4 from the Japanese language names extracted by the means 200 and the explanation information extracted by the means 300.
