PURPOSE:To reduce a pressure increase when quenched, by composing a conduit of a plurality of kinds of materials and making the conduit to a multi-layer structure. CONSTITUTION:A conduit is composed of an outside layer 2B and an inside layer 2A and a superconducting wire 1 is inserted therethrough. The outside layer 2B is made of, for example, a strong SUS material to withstand a magnetic force, pressure and the like and the inside layer 2A is made of an aluminum material which has a low specific resistance in a high magnetic field. When the conduit is quenched, a current is caused to partially flow through the inside layer 2A to reduce a calorific power and to keep an pressure increase at a low level. With the arrangement, a resistance and a calorific power of a conductor are reduced and a pressure increase can be kept at a low level. |
