PURPOSE:To make an electrostatic discharging position accurate by turning off an electrostatic discharging device after a photosensitive body is exposed by a scanning exposure optical system, and also turning off the electrostatic discharging device according to the starting time of feeding-out operation for recording forms by a paper feeding means. CONSTITUTION:This copying machine is equipped with the photosensitive body 31, the scanning exposure optical system 2 which exposes the photosensitive body 31, the electrostatic discharging device 32 which discharges the photosensitive body 31 electrostatically, and paper feeding means rollers 21 and 22 which feed recording forms 14 to the photosensitive body 31. Then the electrostatic discharging device 32 is turned off after the photosensitive body 31 is exposed by the scanning exposure optical system 2 and also turned off according to the start time of the feeding operation for the recording forms 14 by the paper feeding means rollers 21 and 22. Consequently, variance between the sending-out timing of the recording forms from the paper feed rollers to the photosensitive body and the timing where the electrostatic discharging device is turned off is eliminated to make the electrostatic discharging position accurate. |
