PURPOSE:To prevent pinholes and image noises by using a plasma-polymerized film of a heterocyclic compound for a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body comprises at least a conductive substrate 2 and the photoconductive layer 1 made of the plasma-polymerized film, derived from at least one heterocyclic compound, and this layer 1 can execute both functions of electric charging and photodecay. This heterocyclic compound necessary for forming the layer 1 can be used not necessarily in a vapor phase but also in a liquid phase and a solid phase so long as it can be vaporized by heating or evacuating or the like through melting, evaporating, or subliming, thus permitting pinholes to be eliminated, and good images free from image noises to be obtained for a long period by virtue of its hardness. |
