A system intended for constructing furniture for exhibition sites is made up of a vertical support which comprises two vertical profiled beams 1 connected at the bottom and top by fixed transverse beams 2. The two vertical profiled beams 1 are provided, on the inward-facing sides, with a groove 3 which runs in the longitudinal direction. Formed in the bottom of the single groove there are a number of preferably round holes 4 which are arranged at a distance from each other and into which there fit pins 5 of spacer blocks 6. A shelf is provided on one side with projecting pins or with holes 9. Shelf-supporting beams 12 are provided at the top with holes or with projecting pins 10. The shelf supports 11 are guided at one end with two projecting pins 10 on the side surfaces and are provided at the bottom of the side surfaces with a right-angled recess. The vertical, assembled support beams are provided, in the internal surfaces of the two parallel vertical beams, with grooves placed at regular intervals and starting from the long sides. Locking blocks 13 are provided with projecting pins from two parallel side planes. <IMAGE>
