The linear detonation-wave generator comprises a thin plate 1 of explosive 2 pierced with a plurality of successive lines of recesses 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 moving away from the point or points of firing to force the detonation wave to separate into two paths on either side of each recess 61, 62, 63, 64, 65. The recesses of one line are laterally offset with respect to the recesses of the neighbouring lines in the direction of these lines, the centres of each of the recesses of one line in the direction of the said line being respectively substantially aligned in the direction of propagation of the detonation wave, with one lateral end of a recess belonging to the preceding line in the direction of this line.
