This stopper is of the type whose tamper evident band 3, on the one hand, is provided with internal non-return teeth 5 intended to cooperate with external teeth oriented in the opposite direction provided, for this purpose, at the base of the threaded neck of the container and, on the other hand, is connected to the threaded skirt 2b of the stopper 2 by bridges of material 4 which must be severed before the first unscrewing of this stopper 2. Each non-return tooth 5 of the tamper evident strip 3 is constituted by a fin 6 forming a ratchet and at least one of these fins 6 is connected to the skirt 2b of the stopper 2 by a link or bridging piece 4 positioned along this fin 6 in such a way as to allow, without risk that it will break, flexions oriented radially outwards of this fin 6 caused by its passage over the teeth of the neck of the container during the first screwing of the stopper, but likely to break when a torque is applied, manually, on the body of the stopper 2 in the unscrewing direction for the purpose of the first opening of the container. <IMAGE>
