PURPOSE:To take a reliable measurement by checking whether not couples of the position of signal points on corresponding scanning lines of respective cameras satisfy a constant relation determined by the relative position relation among the cameras. CONSTITUTION:A visual device consists of >=3 cameras C(C1-Cn), the center points of the lenses L(L1-Ln) of the respective camera C are on a (y) axis, and the optical axes of the respective lenses L are parallel to an (x) axis. Then images sensors I(I1-In) consisting of CCDs arranged among the focuses of the respective lenses L in parallel to a yz plane are the same and arranged in the same relative position relation with the optical axes of the respective lenses L, and their main scanning directions are all synchronized in parallel to the (y) axis. Therefore, the position in the main scanning direction where the optical axis of the lens L crosses the sensor I is the same among the cameras and images of an optional point P projected on the respective sensors I are obtained on the scanning lines of the same height of the respective sensors I. Then it is checked whether or not a specific expression holds for signals of image points obtained by all the cameras C to discriminate whether or not the respective signals have accurate correspondence points. |
