Drive shaft arrangement

A description is given of a drive shaft arrangement with an eccentric collar (7) which is provided on a drive shaft (5) between two bearing locations (10, 11) and on which there is mounted a driveable mass (3), and with eccentric balance weights (12, 13) provided on both sides of the eccentric collar (7) for the purpose of balancing the centrifugal forces caused during the driving of the mass. In order to achieve a reduction in the flexure of the drive shaft and thereby reduce the risk that the mass will collide with the surrounding housing and also reduce the bearing loading of the guide eccentric, the two balance weights (12, 13) are to be held on the drive shaft (5) in a manner which enlarges the shaft diameter effective for the flexure of the drive shaft (5). One (12) of the two balance weights should expediently be designed as an eccentric part connected integrally to the drive shaft (5) and the other as an eccentric element connected to the drive shaft by a press fit. <IMAGE>
