Bulletproof window, having a two-shelled frame (50, 52) and a two-shelled sash frame (68, 72), said frames each exhibiting load-bearing constituent parts, consisting of bulletproof material, in the form of metal profiles which, for their part, are connected to one another in each case to form individual frames. In order to ensure the bulletproofing capacity even if all visible outer and inner sides of the window only exhibit wooden surfaces, the two frame shells have connection surfaces which run parallel to the window plane and belong to metal profiles (36, 44, 58, 62) consisting of bulletproof material. The two frame shells are fixedly connected to one another via the metal profiles. The bulletproof glass unit (24) is largely accommodated within the weather-side sash-frame shell (68) and is supported there by an angle leg (66) which runs transversely to the window plane and belongs to the associated metal profile (58) (Figure 3).

|
