The invention relates to a process for preparing sodium hydrogen sulphate by reaction of the reactants sodium sulphate and sulphuric acid. To provide a simple process which does not have disadvantages experienced hitherto, it is proposed that the reaction be carried out at temperatures below the melting point of sodium hydrogen sulphate in an aqueous carrier solution, the concentration of which lies within the zone of existence for sodium hydrogen sulphate. <IMAGE>
