A sealing device for sealing a piston rod (14), particularly a piston rod of a gas spring (10), which has a container (11), in which there is a pressurised gas. The piston rod is guided at the outlet end of the container by means of a piston rod guide (18) and is sealed to the exterior by means of a piston rod seal (17). Between the piston rod seal and the operating chamber (12) containing the pressurised gas there is a liquid chamber (13), which is filled with a liquid supply and is separated from the gas-filled operating chamber by a sealing ring (15). The sealing ring (15) is provided with sealing beads (20) on its external contour (19) and rests on the inner wall (30) of the container tube (11). Radially inwards, it is designed as a relatively narrow sealing lip (22), resting on the surface (14a) of the piston rod (14). |
