PURPOSE:To enable the formation of always normal images by providing a shutter to a passage for supplying a developer to a developing section and opening and closing the passage to prevent developing conditions from changing. CONSTITUTION:The developer is supplied to a developing roller 2. The developer is sent, upon ending of the development, to a conveying roller 4 by rotation of the roller 2 and is further conveyed by the roller 4 so that the developer is circulated and supplied along a scraper 6 to an agitating roller 7. The control to stop the supply of the developer is thereafter executed when the need for development with a developing device is eliminated upon ending of the development of a photosensitive body 3. Since the shutter 8 is thereby rotated 90 deg. and is stopped, the non-slit part of the shutter 8 closes an inlet 12 and outlet 13 of the developer supplying passage. The developer is, therefore, no longer supplied to the roller 2 and is set in a non-developable state. The spacing between the developing part and a recording medium is always constant and the developing conditions do not change according to this constitution. The always normal images are thus formed. |
