PURPOSE:To improve a release effect and to lower the generation rate of offset, curling, etc., by using a fixing roller constituted by forming an alumite layer on the front layer of a surface material and providing a thermal resistance layer between the surface material and arbor material. CONSTITUTION:The fixing roller 1 contains a heat source 3 and the surface temp. of the roller 1 is detected by a sensor 4, by which the heat source 3 is turned on and off and the surface temp. is controlled. The thermal resistance layer 46 consisting of a material having a low thermal conductivity is formed on the hollow arbor 42 consisting of Al, etc., and an Al layer 41 is formed as the surface material on this layer 46; further, the surface thereof is anodized. Such material is used as the beam material of the fixing roller 1. The layer 41 is obtd. by packing a solid lubricant into the fine pores 45 in the Al2O3 layer 43 after formation of said layer 43. A conductive active layer 44 is provided at the boundary face in the bottom of the layer 41. A fluororesin is then accumulated into the pores 45 in the anodized film from the bottom parts, by which the fixing roller 1 is obtd. |
