PURPOSE: To prevent fume and dust from a vehicle, bacteria from a cushion and various kinds of powder from being sucked by superposing a soft sheet having a size greater than a size by which the nasal foramen and/or the mouth can be covered with the sheet, and which has an air-permeability while particles having a particle size of greater than 1μm is prevented from passing therethrough. CONSTITUTION: A smoke and dust proof sheet 2 intervening between double scarf fabrics 1 over the entire surface of the latter is sewn to the scarf fabric 1. The sheet is prepared from extremely fine fibers made of polyethylene terephthalate and can be durable even against washing. Further, the scarf can be set over the nasal foramen and the mouth in any manner, and that is, one end part of the scarf wound around the neck may be set against the nasal foramen and the mouth by the hand. Alternatively, the center part of the scarf S is set against the nasal foramen and the mouth, and then the scarf is fastened in rear of the neck or the scarf is capped on the head and fastened around the neck while one end part is set against the nasal foramen and the mouth by the hand. Accordingly, it is possible to easily prevent smoke and dust from being sucked even upon disaster, and to prevent respiratory diseases, further it is possible to prevent smoke and dust from being sucked during passage and crossing of a road around which air pollution is severe.
