PURPOSE:To prevent the production of reception disable state by operating an operative means when either an output means or a storage means is inoperative. CONSTITUTION:Document information inputted from a key input section 2 is stored in a work memory 13 by a code data and expanded into dot information by a font pattern stored in a ROM area of the program memory 12 and stored in a display memory 3 and displayed on a display section 1 as document information. When the document information by one page is stored in the work memory 13, it is stored in an auxiliary storage section 10 and the picture data is compressed by a compression/expansion section 16 and stored in the picture memory 15 and the auxiliary storage section 10. Moreover, the document information and the picture data stored in the auxiliary storage section 10 is transferred to the line control section 8 by the DMA by the command from the key input section 2 and sent to other communication terminal via the line 17.
