A ball retaining structure is suitable in a transmission apparatus for transmitting a power by means of magnetic balls (14) between an input rotating body (10) and an output rotating body (16). The input rotating body and/or output rotating body is/are provided with at least one magnet (22) so as to enable rotatable retention of said balls. The input rotating body and/or the output rotating body can be of non-magnetic material.
