PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a crack of the bottom of a lateral main groove, by a method wherein, in a tyre for a high load vehicle, a plurality of radial cipes formed in the side wall of the lateral main groove in a state that the width of the groove and a range are specified. CONSTITUTION:Cipes 30 are formed in a radial direction A in upper and lower parts 23b and 23c of an inner wall 23a of a lateral main groove 23. A distance W23A between the cipes 30 is set to a value being 5-15 times as large as a groove width W30. A groove depth D30 is approximately equal, and a maximum groove depth D30A in a radial direction of the cipe 30 is limited to a groove depth D23 of the lateral groove 23. This constitution causes wide dispersion of a stress generated at the bottom of the lateral groove during rolling of a tyre, and enables prevention of the occurrence of a crack of a groove bottom without deteriorating resistance to wet. |
