Serving to shift the roadway conveyors in underground mining and tunnelling is a shifting apparatus which is formed from a feed unit arranged in the longitudinal direction of the roadway conveyor and from a bracing unit which can be pushed off against the roadway side. The roadway conveyor is fastened to the outer beam of the feed unit, while the bracing unit, having two horizontally rotatable levers, acting as struts, and setting cylinders, is pivotably fixed to the free end, designed as a pivot, of the inner beam of the feed unit. The shifting apparatus or the roadway conveyor can in each case be regulated in its position by means of the setting cylinders and the advancing cylinders belonging to the feed unit. By means of the levers designed as struts, effective anchorage on the roadway sides is possible irrespective of their condition. Furthermore, the levers can each be put into a central position via the setting cylinders. The central position clears an optimum travel way for any vehicles. When required, the bracing unit can then be put back into the active position from this inoperative position by the setting cylinders being put under pressure. <IMAGE>
