<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to freeze-seal molten metal flowing inside a pipe by fitting one pair of insertion pipes having a flange free to shift axially with each other and inserting a flexible spacer in a housing. CONSTITUTION: Onto the end face of a pair of insertion pipes 10a, 10b, flanges 11a, 11b are fastened. In the flanges 11a, 11b ring-like housings 12a, 12b are formed in a face-to-face manner. Within the housing 12b of the flange 11b, a ring-like protruded stopper 13 is provided. In the flanges 11a, 11b a bolt 15 is inserted and tightened by a nut 16 interposing a bolt 17 for sliding. Between the housings 12a, 12b, flexible porous spacer 18 such as thinly intertwined metallic body in a circular ring-like shape is interposed. As a result, it can freeze-seal liquid metal flowing inside the insertion pipe. Furthermore, the structure is simple and tolerance for axial shift can be enlarged.</p> |
