<p>PURPOSE:To detect the amount of light highly accurately without the change in position of luminous flux reaching a light amount detector even if the inclination of a sample to be tested is changed, by detecting the amount of a phase conjugate light beam, which is emitted from a phase conjugate element. CONSTITUTION:A light beam 2 from a light source 1 reaches beam splitter 3. The transmitted light beam 4 is inputted into a phase conjugate element 5 and acts as the first pumping light. The transmitted light beam 6 is reflected by a reflecting element 7 and inputted into the phase conjugate element 5 again. The light acts as the second pumping light. The light beam 8, which is reflected by the beam splitter 3, a transmitted through a beam splitter 9 and projected on a sample to be measured 10. The reflected beam 11 reaches the phase conjugate element 5 and acts as the probe light. In the phase conjugate element 5, the phase conjugate light 12 is yielded based on the principle of four-light- wave mixing. The light is inputted into the sample to be measured 10 through the light path of the light beam 11 in the reverse direction. The reflected phase conjugate light is inputted into a light amount detector 13 through the beam splitter 9.</p> |
