In a feed device for fluid, viscous, or gaseous media, the medium is expelled from a reservoir (18) by a compressed gas produced electrochemically in a compressed gas chamber (17). A medium (20) which can be decomposed electrochemically and two electrodes (22, 23) which can be connected through an electric circuit (9) are located in the compressed gas chamber. The quantity of gas produced is precisely regulated and maintained constant by a control unit (8) consisting of a closed loop incorporated in the electric circuit (9).
