A built-in frame serves to surround a clearance (3), contained in a fixed surface, in particular of a building, and has a covering panel which is fitted into the frame, is enclosed by the frame and is intended for covering the clearance. The covering panel (4) is releasably retained on the frame (6) and can be removed frontwardly from the frame by means of a pulling means. Pivotably fastened at least at one point of the peripheral border (17), of the covering panel (4), over which the frame (6) engages is one end of a drawing-out lug (18), the other, free end of which is configured as a handle end (20). The drawing-out lug (18) runs, in its pivoted-in position, in the gap (16), formed by the peripheral border (17) of the covering panel (4) and of the facing frame side, along the peripheral border (17), and projects out of the gap (16) by means of its handle end (20). The drawing-out lug (18) can be pivoted out of the pivoted-in position into a pivoted-out position projecting in front of the covering panel (4). <IMAGE>
