A CNC-controlled grinding machine has a rotationally driven grinding wheel and a bearing frame for a rotatable turret with a plurality of grinding-wheel dressing tools which can be optionally brought into working position by rotation of the turret about an axis of rotation, the grinding wheel and the bearing frame being displaceable relative to one another along at least two coordinate axes during the grinding-wheel dressing in accordance with the grinding-wheel profile to be produced, and the dressing tool being rotatable about a pivoting axis. The pivoting axis of the dressing tool coincides with the axis of rotation of the turret and is CNC-controlled. In dependence on the respectively positioned pivoted angle of the dressing tool, the grinding wheel and the bearing frame are guided relative to one another along the two coordinate axes by CNC-control in such a way that the dressing tool is constantly in engagement with the grinding wheel.
