Warning device with warning triangles comprising at least two right-angled triangular elements connected pivotably. The invention relates to a warning device of the abovementioned type, the triangular elements of which are connected to one another along their elevation, are designed with reflecting and/or luminescent warning surfaces, can be opened out or spread and can be locked in a stable manner, or can be folded together to form a triangular package. The aim of the invention is a substantially more simple, user-friendly, particularly space-saving, cheaper warning device which can quickly opened out and folded together. The object of the invention is substantially to reduce the number of necessary hinges and elements for limiting the spreading and pivoting and locking elements. According to the invention, all of the right-angled triangular elements are connected by a single, common hinge just along their one side along the triangle elevation, but in a manner such that they can pivot individually. The warning device is capable of being opened like any book, exercise book or file and the three triangular elements are locked in this spread position where they are set at an angle of approximately 120@ with respect to one another. The device can be used as a warning device in road traffic and can be carried on vehicles of all types.
