A centrifugal speed governor for injection pumps of internal combustion engines has a control element (16), self-adjusting as a function of the speed of rotation, and a two-armed control lever (20), which transmits the adjustment travels of the control element (16) and an arbitrarily operable speed adjusting device (23) to a control rod (21) for the purpose of setting the fuel delivery. For this purpose, the control lever (20), capable of swivelling on a pivot pin (22) of the speed adjusting device (23), is rotatably connected by its one lever arm (20b) to a link plate (31) articulated on the control rod (21). The regulation (P-degree) of the speed governor can be set by means of a setting device (43) for the adjustment and/or variation of a desired lever transmission ratio of the control lever (20). For a sensitive adjustment of the P-degree in minor P-degree adjustments, the setting device (43) has an adjusting element (44) for adjusting the length of one of the lever arms (20b) of the control arm (20) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
